During Lent we often focus on the central figures of the Passion story—Jesus, Peter, Pilate, and Judas. But the Gospel also tells the story through people who appear only briefly, yet whose presence shapes the journey to the cross and resurrection.
In this Lenten series we will explore the lives of several unlikely characters: Mary of Bethany, a servant girl who confronts Peter, Barabbas the prisoner set free, Simon of Cyrene who carries the cross, the women who remain at the cross, and the unlikely allies who care for Jesus after his death. Through their stories we discover how God often works through people on the margins, through courage, grace, companionship, and unexpected faithfulness.
As we walk through these stories together, we may discover that resurrection is not only something that happened long ago, but an invitation for transformation in our lives today.

Palm Sunday begins Holy Week as Jesus enters Jerusalem to shouts of “Hosanna!” Yet the king who arrives does not come with power or force, but with humility and peace. Together we will explore what it means to follow an Unlikely King and how Christ continues to challenge our expectations of power and faithfulness today.
Stay after worship for our 5th Sunday Potluck.

On the night before the cross, Jesus gathers with his disciples, washes their feet, and shares a final meal. Maundy Thursday invites us to reflect on the commandment Jesus gives: “Love one another as I have loved you.” Through scripture, prayer, and communion we remember the love of Christ that kneels in service and prepares us for the solemn journey to the cross.

On Easter morning the stone is rolled away and hope breaks through the darkness. The resurrection reminds us that God brings life where we expect endings and grace where we expect defeat. Join us as we celebrate the joy of the risen Christ and the promise of new life for the world.
