About Us

Reverend Ken Daniell

 

Kenneth Edward Daniell is an elder in full connection in the Mountain Sky Conference of the United Methodist Church. He graduated from Iliff School of Theology in Denver in 2018. He has previously served as the pastor of Riverton United Methodist Church, in Riverton, WY, and as the Associate Pastor of Hope United Methodist Church in Greenwood Village, CO. 


Ken is a proud native of Texas and worked many years in education before following his call to ministry. He has a master's degree in education and has taught almost every grade level at some point. 

Ken is trained through CAST (Coach Approach Skill Training), the premier experiential coach training organization for faith leaders. He believes we are all creative, resourceful, and whole and seeks to tap into that creativity and insight to help you reach your objectives. Ken is committed to helping shape a more life-giving, non-violent, and equitable world. 


In his free time, Ken enjoys running and going on adventures with his wife, Amanda, and daughter, Grace, who is four, so it’s always an adventure.

Sarah Lawrence Riehm Director of Music Ministries

  

Riehm has served in music ministry in churches large and small throughout the U. S. She began her professional career as organist and choir director at the First Baptist Church of Clinton, Iowa while still in middle school. Riehm studied organ performance with David Disselhorst and choral conducting with Daniel Moe at the University of Iowa. She served as principal organist at Preston Hollow Methodist Church in Dallas and Covenant Baptist Church in Michigan. For two years, Riehm conducted the 85-voice choir at the First United Methodist Church in Plano, Texas. She has accompanied and sung in church, community, and professional choirs, including the Old Gold Singers, the Kirk Singers, the Iowa All-State choir (principal accompanist), middle school and high school choirs, and numerous musical theater productions. She founded and led the Praise Team at Canyon Creek Presbyterian Church in Richardson, Texas, for ten years. During that time, she launched and coordinated a cutting-edge contemporary worship service featuring the Live316 Band. Most recently she worked for two years as Music Director at St. Patrick’s Episcopal Church in Pagosa Springs. Riehm holds a BGS degree from the University of Iowa, an MBA in International Finance from the University of Texas at Dallas in conjunction with Chinese University, and an MFA in Writing for Stage and Screen. In her spare time, she pursues an active career as a playwright, screenwriter, and writing coach. She looks forward to serving the members of CUMC as well as bringing quality music programs to the Pagosa Springs community.
