We lift up our beloved community of Pagosa Springs to You as we enter another summer season, a time of beauty, activity, and connection. We give thanks for the natural wonders that surround us, for the warm days and healing waters, and for the gift of community that holds us together.
We pray for all who live and work here: for the small businesses, restaurants, shops, and service providers who rely on these summer months for their livelihood. Grant them resilience, creativity, and joy in their work. Bless their hands and hearts with endurance and encouragement.
We lift up our town amid the challenges of road construction and change. May patience grow where frustration threatens. May understanding bloom between neighbors and newcomers, between workers and travelers. Guide the hands of all those repairing and building—keep them safe, and let the work be fruitful and swift.
For the visitors who pass through, may they feel the peace and wonder that this place offers. Let them see more than a vacation destination, let them see a community rooted in care and grace.
Bind us together, Lord, through every detour and delay. Help us to show kindness in crowded places, to speak calmly when tensions rise, and to be the heart of hospitality in every encounter.
Bless this summer season in Pagosa Springs. May it be safe, fruitful, and filled with the goodness only You can provide.
Amen.
With hearts full of hope, we lift our voices beyond our town, reaching across mountains and oceans to pray for our greater community, our nation and all peoples across this earth.

With hearts full of hope, we lift our voices beyond our town, reaching across mountains and oceans to pray for our greater community, our nation and all peoples across this earth.
We pray for peace. In a time of division, uncertainty, and unrest, may peace take root in places of conflict and fear. Soften hearts hardened by power or pain. Where there is war, bring mercy. Where there is hatred, sow compassion. Let the spirit of reconciliation rise above the noise.
We pray for our leaders, local, national, and global. May they lead not with ego, but with wisdom and humility. May they be guided by justice, equity, and the sacred responsibility to protect life and dignity for all people. Give them courage to make decisions that are hard, but right.
We ask Your blessing on all people, especially the vulnerable, the displaced, and the unheard. May kindness prevail. May basic human rights be honored not just in theory, but in practice: the right to live without fear, to speak freely, to be cared for, and to belong.
And we pray for this land, the beautiful expanse of the United States, from forests to deserts, rivers to canyons. May we be faithful stewards of its beauty and bounty. Protect what remains wild. Heal what has been harmed. Remind us that this earth is not ours to own, but to honor.
Let this be a season of awakening, not only in nature but in our shared humanity. Unite us, across borders and beliefs, in the quiet strength of compassion.
Amen.
