Starting over in a new place is harder than people expect.

You chose Pagosa Springs, maybe after a weekend visit, maybe after years of dreaming about it. You knew about the mountains and the river and the hot springs. What you might not have fully anticipated is how long it takes to find your people.

That's what we're here for.

Community UMC is a congregation made up largely of people who made exactly the move you made. We know what it feels like to be new here, to love the landscape and still be looking for community. We've been through it. We're still building it. And there's room for you.

We offer two services each week. The 8:15am service is our Modern service, smaller, more informal. The 11:00am Classic service is our larger gathering, with full choir and a more traditional feel. Both are the same community. Both are worth trying.

Plan to arrive a few minutes early. There will be coffee. Someone will greet you by name before you leave, that's not a promise we make lightly.

You don't need to bring anything or know anything. You don't need to have it all figured out. Come as you are, with whatever questions you're carrying. They're welcome here.

If Sunday morning feels like too big a first step, reach out to Pastor Ken directly. He means it when he says his door is open.

Church here isn't just what happens on Sunday morning. We gather around shared interests, shared meals, and shared work in the community. If you're looking for a way to connect that doesn't start in a pew, we can find one.
